More options for learning robotics with Platypus

2016 Teacher's Institute (Planned)

We are launching an annual teacher’s institute to provide a platform for teachers, partners, and our team to share, in a face-to-face format, successful projects and lesson plans, deepen connections and collaborations, and offer teacher-led ‘train-the-trainer’ sessions for new partners.

Save the date for our inaugural teacher's institute: Planned for June 2016!

Hands on learning with Platypus technicians

Excited about the possibilities and application areas? Interested in the robot lending library?  Want some additional hands-on training?

At the Platypus Pittsburgh offices, we offer occasional weekend and evening opportunities to:

•  build and operate robots
•  collect and process data
•  learn water data analysis

Join our mailing list for invitations to these events.  We can also develop a customized event for your organization.

Student Robotics Research Immersions for Undergraduate and High School Students

The Platypus team has over a decade of experience providing hands on STEM experiences for students of all ages. Each summer we host undergraduate students for research immersions. By partnering with Carnegie Mellon’s Robotic Institute Summer Scholar’s program (riss.ri.cmu.edu) students gain a broad exposure to robotics and related sciences.

Apply for a Platypus robotics research experience each year between December 1- January 31st
